From 5 to 6 PM, special children’s activities will include storytelling with PJ Library Ambassador Mike Miller, face painting and arts and crafts.

Salute to Fallen Soldiers, April 30

In Israel, the annual celebration of Israel’s independence comes after a solemn commemoration of those fallen in war as well as victims of terrorism.

On Sunday, April 30th from 5 to 6 PM, the Jewish Federation of Greater Rochester will sponsor a program honoring Yom HaZikaron, or Israel’s version of Memorial Day. This ceremony will take place at Temple Sinai, 363 Penfield Road, and will include readings and a performance by the Rochester Jewish Chorale.

Attendance at both events is free of charge and all are welcome.
