Established in 1979 as the endowment development program of the Federation, The Foundation is a vital link between Jewish life today and the unfolding Jewish world of tomorrow.
Donors fulfill their philanthropic goals through planned gifts, which form a base of support – in perpetuity – for our local community and for Jewish life everywhere. The Foundation of the Rochester Federation nurtures the dreams of today and helps sustain a healthy community into the future.
With over $47 million in assets and under the care of expert managers, The Foundation enables our community to be there for the Jewish poor, to assist the elderly, to rescue Jews in need and to help ensure a bright future for our children. Hundreds of donors have chosen among the wide array of charitable vehicles available to meet their individual needs.
In addition, Foundation donors know that the causes they can support through their funds are limitless. Charitable interests can be expressed on behalf of virtually any not-for-profit organization -- the symphony, health and human services, educational institutions and much more. A listing of the many beneficiaries of Foundation funds is available in the Federation’s 2007 Annual Report. Contact us to have an annual report mailed to you.
